Our Saturday

Here are a couple of pictures of ben and millie.  The one of ben cracks me up...maybe mike needs to come off the road a little more often:)

Thankfully today cam seemed about the same.  He may have been a little more snotty....but he was in a great mood and laughed at ben a lot and at mike too when he got home this evening. John Campbell is such a joy.  His eyes light up in the sweetest way when he smiles.  I am giving him some vitamin supplements and he makes the funniest faces when he takes the vitamin c...it's a little too tart for him!  But funny enough he loves the alfalfa!  

Even though I was so concerned about John Campbell we had good day.  It was beautiful outside so Ben and Millie played in the backyard for a while and even got to eat lunch on the table under the back patio....they love that.  At one point I noticed ben had climbed through the barbed wire fence at the back of our property, which he is NOT suppose to do.  So i called him to come see me on the back porch and  even before he got to me I could hear him saying " I just wanted to go on an adventure!".  I had to work hard not to laugh before i gave him a warning.

Every time we prayed today millie had to pray for sophie and john campbell...and she always ends her prayer with an "aaaaaaaaaaaammmmmmmmmmmmmen".  I wish you could hear it I can't do it justice.

Please continue to pray for john campbell.  He is snoozing in his swing already.  

I have been focusing on this verse a lot lately....

"The steadfast of mind you will keep in perfect peace, Because he trusts in You.  Trust in the Lord forever, For in God the Lord, we have an everlasting Rock."  Isaiah 26:3-4

update on john campbell

So john campbell has been the same most of the day today.  He is still eating great and he has been cracking up at ben and millie so that makes me feel better.  Mike will get home tommorow...he is in canada today.  I am very thankful for how well cam is doing and i pray that through the night he stays the same or gets better.

We found out this morning that john campbell has rsv...please pray that it would not progress and that he would have a quick recovery.

Iced In

Well we are iced in today or at least for part of the day.  Icicles are hanging off the pack porch and the kids were really impressed when i brought inside ice shaped like a leaf.  We had dinner last night at the Atkinson's with some friends and that was a lot of fun.   Millie wore her new Fancy Nancy dress.  Mike and the guys were supposed to have a show yesterday in florida but they had to cancel it becasue bart and shannon's little baby sophie is in the hospital with rsv and pneumonia.  She was in icu but is now in a regular room and is doing much better thank the Lord. 

Ben, Millie, and John Campbell are all snotty but they are acting like they feel great.  Cam is just as smiley as ever.  Ben said we couldn't go over to our neighbors house because they have "chicken pop's".   They do in fact have chicken pox.

Tonight when Ben was praying he said "And Dear God please help us find a way out of the house if our house catches on fire."  Not sure where he got that one!  And Millie keeps saying "matter of fact" at totally inappropriate times...they crack me up.

I'm mostly just rambling so that's all for now.  

(I wrote this  yesterday but am just now posting it...i kept trying to attach a video but haven't gotten it to work yet.)

Yesterday we had a great day!  I love the days when it's beautiful outside and we don't have to stay indoors all day!  Me, Ben , and Millie rode around on the golf cart with our "swords" and ran from pirates and looked for buried treasure.  The "unicorn" next door (our neighbor's horse) actually gave us a map to find it.  Ben is really into pretending and Millie is starting to get into it too.  I wish you could hear Ben and some of the scenarios he makes up.  

  

Something else that cracked me up was that when mike is home he always makes breakfast..it's sort of his thing.  Well right now we are having a room enclosed upstairs so there are workers here every morning while he is cooking.  Then yesterday he decides to make homemade granola too.  I was laughing because the workers must think he is betty homemaker...and i made sure to ask him how his "baking" was coming when one of the construction guys came through!  

The kids love when we read books on the back porch at night.  I hope they have a lot of special memories like this.  So last night we read Mill's new Fancy Nancy book and Ben picked out Three Billy Goats Gruff.  I am so glad they love stories...and it felt great on the porch last night.  I love getting snuggled up with them under a blanket and getting to make all the characters voices...ben and millie just light up!  Mike and John Campbell listened while they rocked in the rocking chair too.  It was a beautiful day!

ok...it took me forever but i am finally putting up some pictures.  I thought i would start off with some cute pictures of my sweetie John Campbell.  He brings so much joy to our lives with his sweet smile.  The only time he really fusses is if he is put down:)
